Breast Cancer and Pelvic Floor Oncology Physical Therapy
Treatments will focus on improving core, pelvic floor, and whole body strength, stability, mobility and function following oncology treatment, reducing radiation fibrosis and addressing lymphatic drainage.
Prenatal Physical Therapy
We can address symptoms associated with pregnancy such as low back pain, sacroiliac joint pain, and lower extremity pain. In addition, we can address core stability during or after pregnancy, diastasis recti, and appropriate exercise during and/or after pregnancy.
Orthopedic Post Operative and Conservative Care
Whether you are trying to avoid surgery or have recently undergone surgery, we will help to progress you back to what you love to do. We will focus on increasing your motion and mobility as well as strength, stability, and balance for the joint and limb. We will identify the mechanical overload that initially caused the injury helping to prevent the injury from returning.
Dry Needling
A solid filament needle is inserted into the skin and muscle to reduce musculoskeletal pain. Different needling techniques are used to help reduce and relieve trigger points, decrease general muscular pain, and relax muscles for better overall movement and contractile ability of the tissue.
Running Assessment
We can perform a running assessment on a treadmill and/or on land to identify abnormalities in one’s running gait and identify mechanical overloads that may be leading to or causing an injury. We can then make adjustments in the gait and give exercises to improve one’s running gait, reduce mechanical overloads and even improve speed and endurance capabilities.
